Preparing Students for a Technological Future

Education Week’s special report, titled “Schools and the Future of Work”, discusses technological change, globalization, and climate instability are happening at an accelerating pace all across the world. Artificial intelligence and automation are the engines driving much of the transformation in the workplace. Some experts even predict that nearly half percent of today’s jobs could be done by machines within a couple of decades. This report examines the skills students need to succeed in the uncertain, intensely competitive workplace of the future. This report is important so that students can prepare themselves for any significant changes that technology may bring into the workplace in the future.
