Teachers Require More Training to Help Students Learn with Technology

According to a survey from SAM Labs, slightly less than half of educators say students learn faster with technology. However, a large majority of respondents said they believe students who use technology in the classroom are better prepared for their future careers. Two-thirds of respondents said teachers need more training to effectively use those tools in the classroom. According to the survey, teachers have seen student improvements in a number of areas of academics as a result of the use of technology, including math, reading and writing, and history, among others. This study helps shine light onto the importance of allocating resources to better equip and prepare teachers to incorporate technology into their lessons in order to better assist students’ learning.
